Two Hot Peppers

Two Hot Peppers is an at-home business that I got the opportunity to do my co-op in. I learned how to make fake foods for all types of business industries whether it is production companies, kitchen appliances, advertisements, everything. I enjoyed using my creativity here and am proud to display my work.

Brie

Made with Model Magic and cut into shape using round cookie cutters. We had to make about 150 of them.

Exploded Hamburger

This was made out of Sawdust mixed in with Resin and crumbled together. I had to leave them on the trays for it to dry.

Milkshakes

The milkshakes were my favourite project to make. I was asked to make one half drunk and the other one empty but with leftover smears to make it look like they were drunk. I mixed in some pink paint into fake frosting which was imported from the U.S. and used a paper towel and had fun smearing the glasses.

Cupcake Bases

I mixed in some plaster to fill the bases of the cupcakes so that we can decorate them on top. It was interesting because well.....ceramic cupcakes. We needed some spring coloured papers for the cupcake bases because spring was approaching.

Roasted Corn

This project took quote some time to make. The corn was already ready and all I had to do was paint the burnt parts on each kernel. Already this project took me the whole day to make one bowl which was what we needed. The burnt parts I used some brown acrylic paint and a tiny paintbrush.

Slivered Almonds

This was made out of Model Magic and baked in the toaster oven. I made about a small bowl full so cutting these with a tiny, tiny cookie cutter took a very long time.

Spaghetti and Meatballs

The spaghetti noodles were already made before so all I had to do to them is dunk them in orange-red paint for the sauce. The meatballs I mixed in sawdust and Resin and rolled them into balls. After a couple hours for the meatballs to dry I poured some of the leftover "sauce" over them to make it more realistic.

Maccaroons

The process for the maccaroons took about two days to make. I had to make about 4 colours and 2 dozen in each colour. I had to knead in the acrylic paint into the Model Magic which was alot to do. The trick is to microwave the Model Magic to make it softer. And then had to cut them using the cookie cutter.

Rising Pizza Dough

This project I again had to knead in some paint to the Model Magic. I also used some styrofoam to stuff the inside to make it look like the dough is rising while it is sitting.

Dipped Doughnuts

The doughnuts were already imported so all I had to to was mix in some fake frosting and paint and dip the doughnuts in. I had to re-dip them so often so that I could make it look perfect.

Greek Salads

I had to cut the lettuce into strips and them glue everything else onto paper plates. Instead of useing glue, I used Resin so that they can stick together. Using glue would show in different angles. The paper plates are to keep everything together so they cannot be shown.
